Warranty Information
At Office Stash, we only carry the good stuff. Every product in our stash—from high-end gaming GPUs to smart home sensors—is sourced through official South African distribution channels. This means you get full local support and authentic manufacturer warranties.
1. The Office Stash Guarantee
All hardware and electronic equipment sold by Office Stash comes with a minimum 12-month manufacturer warranty, unless otherwise stated (some premium components carry 2, 3, or even 5-year warranties!).
2. Our Brands & Partners
Because we partner with the biggest names in tech, your warranty is backed by industry giants:
ICT & Computing: Supported by Mustek, Rectron, Tarsus, and Pinnacle.
Tech Accessories & Gaming: Supported by Syntech.
Office & Presentation Gear: Supported by Parrot Products.
3. What is Covered?
The warranty covers technical defects and manufacturing faults that occur during normal use. If the hardware fails due to a flaw in how it was made, we (and our partners) will get it repaired or replaced for you.
4. What is NOT Covered? (The "Fine Print")
To keep things transparent, local warranties do not cover:
Power Surges & Lightning: Damage caused by South Africa’s unpredictable power grid. (We strongly recommend using a high-quality surge protector or UPS!)
Physical Damage: Cracked screens, broken ports, or liquid spills.
Unauthorised Software/Repairs: Any attempt to open the device or install "jailbroken" firmware.
Wear & Tear: Natural degradation, such as battery life over several years.
5. How to Log a Warranty Claim
If your gear starts acting up, don't sweat it. Here is the play-by-half:
Check the Basics: Ensure it’s not just a loose cable or a software update.
Contact Us: Email [Insert Email Address] with your Order Number and a description of the fault.
The Assessment: We will arrange for the item to be collected and sent to the authorised service centre (e.g., Rectron or Pinnacle).
Resolution: The service centre will determine if the unit can be repaired or if a full replacement is required. This usually takes 7–14 business days depending on parts availability.
6. Out-of-Box Failures (OBF)
If your product doesn’t work the moment you take it out of the box, notify us within 48 hours. We will treat this as a high-priority "Dead on Arrival" case and swap it out for a brand-new unit immediately, provided all packaging is intact.
Pro-Tips to Protect Your Tech:
Save the Box: Most distributors require the original packaging for a warranty claim to be processed.
Surge Protection is Key: In South Africa, a surge protector isn't an option—it's a necessity. Protecting your gear from load-shedding spikes keeps your warranty (and your tech) alive.
Proof of Purchase: Keep your digital invoice! You'll need it if you ever need to log a claim.
