Refund, Cancellations, Returns, and Exchanges Policy
At Office Stash, we want you to be 100% satisfied with your gear. We partner with top-tier distributors like Mustek, Rectron, and Syntech to ensure quality, but if things don’t go as planned, we’ve got you covered.
1. 7-Day “Cooling Off” Period (Change of Mind & Exchanges)
In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act), if you change your mind or would like to exchange your item for a different product, you may do so within 7 days of delivery.
Condition: The item must be unopened, unused, and in its original packaging with all seals intact.
Return Shipping: For “change of mind” returns or exchanges, the customer is responsible for the courier costs (R80–R150 depending on location).
Price Differences: For exchanges, if the new item is more expensive, the difference must be paid before dispatch. If it is cheaper, we will refund the difference to you.
Exclusions: Software, unsealed consumables (like printer ink), or personalised items cannot be returned or exchanged.
2. Defective or Faulty Products
If your equipment is found to be defective within 6 months of delivery, you are entitled to a repair, replacement (exchange), or refund under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
The Process: Once you log a return, we will arrange a collection via The Courier Guy or MTE at our expense.
Assessment: Hardware may be sent to the manufacturer’s authorised service centre (e.g., Tarsus or Pinnacle) to verify the fault.
Exclusions: This does not cover damage from lightning, power surges (we highly recommend surge protectors), water damage, or physical abuse.
3. Incorrect Items Delivered
If we accidentally sent the wrong “stash,” notify us within 48 hours. We will arrange a collection and deliver the correct item at no additional cost to you.
4. How to Log a Return or Exchange
To ensure your request is processed quickly, please follow these steps:
Email us: Send your order number and photos of the product to sales@officestash.co.za. Please specify if you would like a refund or an exchange.
Wait for Approval: Our team will review the request within 24–48 hours.
Courier Collection: We will book a courier to collect the item from your door or provide a Pargo drop-off voucher.
5. Refunds and Credit
Processing Time: Once the item is received and inspected at our warehouse, your refund or exchange will be processed within 10 business days.
Payment Method: Refunds are issued back to your original payment method (Visa, Mastercard, PayShap, EFT, etc.).
No Restocking Fees: We do not charge restocking fees for items that meet the policy criteria.
6. Cancellations
Before Dispatch: You can cancel any order before it has been shipped for a full immediate refund.
After Dispatch: If the order is already with our couriers, it will be treated as a “Change of Mind” return (see Section 1).
Important Tech Protection Tips:
Keep Your Packaging: Most of our tech partners require the original box for warranty claims. We recommend keeping your packaging for at least 6 months.
Data Privacy: Please ensure all personal data is wiped from laptops or smart devices before returning or exchanging them.
