Refund and Return Policy

At Office Stash, we strive to ensure you are complete satisfaction with every purchase. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds are processed. Please read it carefully before placing an order.

 

1. Eligibility for Returns & Refunds

 

We accept returns and issue refunds under the following conditions:

Damaged in Transit Item must be unused and in original packaging (where possible). 180 days from the delivery date. Photographic evidence of the damage to the item and packaging.
Incorrect Item Delivered Item must be unused, in its original, unopened packaging. 180 days from the delivery date. Photographic evidence of the incorrect item.
Defective Item Item is faulty or does not function as described upon arrival. 180 days from the delivery date (as per South African Consumer Protection Act for certain defects). Detailed description of the fault.
Change of Mind Item must be unused, sealed, and in perfectly re-saleable condition. Exclusions apply (see Section 2). 180 days from the delivery date. Proof of Purchase.

 

2. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items (Exclusions)

 

The following items are exempt from being returned or refunded, except in the case of a manufacturing defect:

  • Digital Goods: Including software licenses or digital downloads.
  • Items that have been opened and/or used, including sealed packaging (e.g., pen sets, ink cartridges, printer paper, notebooks) due to hygiene, copyright, or functional integrity reasons, unless the product is defective.
  • Personalised or Custom-made Items.
  • Gift Cards.
  • Items purchased on final sale or clearance.

 

3. The Return Process

 

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email us immediately at  support@officestash.co.za within the eligible return window.
  2. Provide Details: In your email, include:
    • Your Order Number.
    • The specific item(s) you wish to return.
    • The reason for the return (referencing Section 1).
    • Attach all required photographic or video evidence.
  3. Wait for Authorisation: We will review your request and send you a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and instructions on where to send the package. Do not send the item back before receiving an RMA number.
  4. Packaging: Items must be packaged securely to prevent damage during return transit.

 

4. Shipping Costs for Returns

 

  • Office stash’s Error (Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Item): We will cover the cost of the return courier and/or arrange for a collection.
  • Customer’s Choice (Change of Mind): We will be responsible for the full cost of the return shipping.

 

5. Refunds (If Applicable)

 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved Refunds: Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (EFT, credit card, etc.) in less than  30 working days, depending on your bank’s processing times.
  • Vouchers/Store Credit: In some cases, and only with your explicit agreement, we may offer store credit or a voucher instead of a monetary refund.

 

6. Exchanges

 

If you received a damaged or incorrect item and would prefer an exchange for the correct item, please indicate this clearly when initiating the return (Section 3). Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the item is out of stock, a full refund will be issued.
